Should you be in need of a new entity for your Lovecraft Country game, a little digging into weird and mythological creatures of New England can prove most fruitful… it worked for Lovecraft after all.  Consider some of these as inspiration:

• The Melon Heads of Connecticut
• Vermont disappearances (not a creature, I admit)
• Mercy Brown, ‘Vampire’
