Update: Issue #3 – Witches and Witchcraft

It has been a while since I’ve had an official update here, so I figured it was high time that I added a few words about the progress we’re making on the next issue. Ideally I’d like to have issue #3 ready by Halloween, which remains a reasonable target so long as I keep up my pace of writing and editing and articles I’ve been sent outlines or drafts of manifest in a timely fashion. We’ve got some delightful material in store, I assure you. 😉
I’m trying to force myself to stop doing research for the issue, as every time I turn over some new source I have more ideas I want to include… I am definitely grinding my way through Derleth’s Lurker at the Threshold in part because I want to cover the rather neglected tome Of Evill Sorceries Done in New-England of Daemons in no Human Shape. The current word count, not including two lovely prop documents worked up for us rather generously by Dean Englehardt, is just about 19k and certain to rise. We’ve also just started to get a few bits of art from our nightmare circle of illustrators, all certain to chill the soul. Things have begun to shape up well.
Finally, for your amusement, here’s Vincent Price’s Witchcraft & Magic – An Adventure In Demonology (1969). Stay tuned – I’m working up a few diversions that will be posted here in advance of the next issue.
